UCEED Exam Pattern 2025 – Question Paper Structure
There will be one question paper lasting three hours. It will be in English and worth 300 marks. The paper has two sections, Part A and Part B, and you must answer questions from both. The committee tries to make the paper error-free, but if any mistakes are found, they will make a final decision after the exam.
UCEED Question Paper Structure: Part A
This part will be administered through a computer-based test. This part will consist of three sections. These sections are:
Section 1: Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
Section 2: Multiple Select Question (MSQ)
Section 3: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Section 1: Numerical Ability Test (NAT)
There are 14 of these, each worth 4 marks with no negative marking. For these questions, you’ll need to type a number as your answer using an on-screen keyboard. There will be no answer options provided.
Section 2: Multiple Select Question (MSQ)
There are 15 questions. Each question has four options, and one or more can be correct. The marking scheme is:
Full Marks: +4 if you choose all correct options and no incorrect ones.
Partial Marks: +3 if all four options are correct, but you choose only three correct ones and no incorrect ones.
Partial Marks: +2 if three or more options are correct, but you choose only two correct ones and no incorrect ones.
Partial Marks: +1 if two or more options are correct, but you choose only one correct one and no incorrect ones.
Zero Marks: 0 if you don’t choose any options.
Negative Marks: -1 in all other cases.
Section 3: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
There are 28 questions, each worth 3 marks. For each incorrect answer, 0.71 marks will be deducted. Each question has four choices, but only one is correct.
UCEED Question Paper Structure: Part B
Part B has two questions that test drawing skills and design aptitude. These questions are evaluated subjectively. The questions will appear on the computer screen, but you will write or draw your answers in a booklet given by the invigilator.
PwD candidates cannot get help from a scribe for Part B, as it assesses drawing skills. The answer booklets will be collected at the end. Part B is mandatory. You must complete both Part A and Part B within their respective time limits.
UCEED Exam Pattern 2025 Marking Scheme
The UCEED 2025 exam pattern consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test with three sections: NAT (Numerical Answer Type), MSQ (Multiple Select Question), and MCQ (Multiple Choice Question).
NAT includes 14 questions worth 4 marks each, with no negative marking. MSQ comprises 15 questions, with full marks (+4) awarded for selecting all correct options, and partial marks (+3, +2, +1) based on the number of correct choices without any incorrect ones; incorrect answers incur a penalty of -1 mark. Candidates must write/draw their answers in a booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B has a total of 100 marks and must be completed within one hour. The Part B has no negative marking, Both parts are mandatory and must be completed within the allocated time.
UCEED Exam Duration 2025
The UCEED 2025 exam is structured into two main parts, each with specific time allocations. The UCEED exam spans a duration of 03 hours or 180 minutes overall. Part A is a computer-based test lasting two hours.
